Its been another beautiful week in Vanderhoof. I love it so much up here!
This Tuesday we took a trip to Fraser Lake area to do missionary work with Amanda because that is where she grew up. That girl can preach the Gospel! Her testimony is so strong! Her parents are super nice to us as well. Her mom came into town and she brought us lunch and we got to teach her The Plan of Salvation. She was open and excepted The Book of Mormon. She grew up Catholic but stopped going to church when she was 20. Amanda calls her dad the "Anti-Christ" and it was amazing because they had us over for dinner and he let us pray and share a little message. He even nodded along and said amen! It was really cool! While in Fraser Lake we ran into a potential investigator that we met in Vanderhoof a couple months back so that was an amazing miracle! It was a great day full of adventures!
We also celebrated Pioneer Day in the wards up here because a lot of the members are from Utah and even a family came across the U.S. in a covered wagon about 50 years ago because they just joined the church and didn't have much money at all. Then after a few years of living in Utah they moved up here to Vanderhoof and that's were a lot of the members come from. For Pioneer day we were out to a member's property right by the river and it was beautiful! There were games and lots of food. Unfortunately Sister Tennison hurt her back while there and is still trying to recover so please keep here in your prayers!
Vanderhoof truly is a blessed place and its because of the faithfulness of the members. All they care about is helping others. They help us out so much and I just love them! Its always an adventure up here and I ate bear meat last night! Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers! Hope you have a great week!
Love,
