Its been such a blessed week in Vanderhoof! We have been able to meet with so many people and see so many miracles. The Lord has been blessing our area so much!
Yesterday was so awesome! Amanda (a young single mom who has been investigating off and on for a year now) came to church and got up and bore her testimony! She told how she did some soul searching and went to some other churches and has never felt of God's spirit as strong as in our church. She also says that she can't wait to be baptized! She stayed for all 3 hours of church and loved it!
On Saturday night we heard from the 2nd counselor in the bishopric that a lady named Marian texted him and said she wanted to come to church and be baptized! A couple months ago a man from one of the Indian reserves jumped off a bridge into the river and committed suicide and it really shook up he community. Well, Marian is that man's step daughter and she took it really hard but it has softened her heart to the Gospel. So yesterday morning we went and picked her up with one of our members. She was super nervous to come to church because she hasn't even been in a church for many years. But she made it and came to all three hours! After relief society me and Sister Tennison were talking to her and she asked if we had any pamphlets or anything to read.c And we were like "Of Course!" So we gave her a restoration pamphlet and a Book of Mormon and we briefly went over the pamphlet and she was like "Wait! I remember this! I had a dream last night of you two teaching me this here in this room! I know this is where I am supposed to be!" Haha what!? God is real. She committed to be baptized but hasn't quite picked a date yet. She still will have to overcome some things so please keep her in your prayers! We are going to teach her tonight and we are really excited!!
I just love Vanderhoof and Canada so much! The members up here truly are saints and sacrifice so much! They are willing to help us with whatever! Its beautiful up here and just so green. I'm so grateful for my call to serve the people up here and the Lord. I feel just so blessed. I know that God lives and that he truly is aware of each of us! Thank you all for your support and prayers! I love you all so much!! Hope you have a great week!
Love,
Sister Lofthouse
