May 25, 2015: I've been blasted!

Hello family and friends!

Its been an interesting week! Sister Tennison and I are becoming great friends and its amazing to see how much she learns and improves everyday. It is amazing to look back and to see how far I have come as well. The quote is true of, "who the Lord calls, he qualifies." The Savior really has helped me with my weaknesses and I have seen that my whole life!

We were blessed with 3 new investigators this week! Last Monday we met with a guy named Brody. He has no religious background but he is so interested. We first met him on the street and it was cool because he actually came up to us. We were able to teach him in a member's home because the members up here are truly saints! We set him to be baptized on June 13th. We passed him to the Elders so they will continue to prepare him for baptism. We also met with Beans Lady! Her actual name is Teresa. But she is the lady we met at the store and talked about beans to. We ate lunch with her this week and she read the chapter in the Book of Mormon that we gave her! She really liked it! We talked more about the Book of Mormon and gave her another chapter to read and pray about. We invited her to be baptized and she wouldn't commit to a date but she did get teary-eyed when she told us she has never been baptized before. Last night we met a really kind older 1st Nations lady named Bernadette. She has actually read the Book of Mormon before and really likes it. But she also really likes the Catholic church so we are praying that she will understand the Restoration when we teach it to her. :)

Things are going great! We see the Lord's hand in the work everyday! We are trying to build up our teaching pool and we know the Lord will provide. I'll end with a hilarious story from the week. We were visiting this old lady in the ward that is sick and she stood up from her chair and a huge gassy fart spilled out from her, right in front of my face and she said "I blasted ya Sister!" It was hilarious! We were all dying from laughter! I survived from being blasted. Hahaha...

Well, I hope you are all doing well! I love you all! I am so blessed to have such a great support group and to have righteous parents who have taught me the way! Thanks you all for the love and support!

Love,
Sister Lofthouse
