Yesterday I found out that I will be staying in Vanderhoof another transfer! That means I will be here for 5 transfers! I feel like I have been here forever! But I'm excited to continue to work with the people here.
This week was a little slower week... But we did get to go to Fort St James to go on splits with a couple of our members. We got to talk to lots of people and its always an adventure. We came up to this native lady that was gutting fish in her backyard. There was blood and fish heads everywhere! She was pretty interested in learning more but she was just visiting at her sister's house in town. She lives out in the bush normally. (Learning Canadian Words- The Bush: way the heck out there in the middle of the forest.) It was also cool because on the split because we were able to run into some investigators/formers and got some lessons!
Yesterday was the Prince George Stake conference and President and Sister Burt were there. I asked President if he was playing a prank on me by leaving me in Vanderhoof but she just chucked and said that there is still more work for me up here. I hope I come to see specifically what that work is! We also had a member of the seventy come and speak at stake conference. It was super good and he talked about the 4 keys to happiness. 1. Obedience to the Commandments 2. Repentance 3. Forgiving Others 4. Bringing people to the Kingdom of God. That's pretty simple and I love it. If you are looking for more happiness in life right now, look at these keys and determine what you need to work on. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ truly does bring so much happiness.
I'm excited to continue to work with the people up here in Canada. Vanderhoof is beautiful and I learn so much up here everyday. God is so merciful to us. Pray and see how he really does answer our prayers. Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.
Love,
