Hello Family and Friends!
Its been another great and sunny week in the Lower Mainland! We have been seeing hard work pay off with new investigators and lots of investigators at church. :)
The highlight of the week was going on exchanges with the Chinese Sisters in the zone. They are so good! I stayed in their area. There aren't too too many chinese people in there area so you really have to go by the spirit to find them. It was pretty fun because sometimes if felt like we were chasing them down just to talk to them. :) As we were knocking on a door, out of the corner of my eyes a saw a couple of asains walking on the other side of the street, so I was like "Look Chinese! Lets go!" after cactching up to them, they recognized us! It was a mom and a teenaged son. She was once taught by missionaries and wants to be taught again. :) What a blessing! Also Sister Yeung taught me out to saw "I am a cat" in chinese. I am sure that will come in handy one day. :) Meow.
Back in our normal area on Saturday, I still had my asian gaurd up. We were walking down the street back to our apartment and I saw a asian lady and I thought was came to my mind "she is going to be respective." We go up and talk to her and she is from Korea. Her english isn't the best but she understood enough. When she found out that we were Mormon she was like "Mormon!? I have a friend who is Mormon! I have always wanted to go to that church." Haha what? :) Her name is Linda and she came to church yesterday and we had a Korean couple translate for us as we taught her a lesson. She also has an 11 year old daughter. Wow, this work is real.
YSA work is still going well. Jasper came to church and is continuing to progress. Please keep him in your prayers! :) Yesterday's sacranment meeting was very spiritual. One speaker talked about what it means to take upon the name of Chirst. It means to take upon his work and his mission. We take upon that work and mission as we are baptized. To serve others as Chirst would serve and help bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. I am so grateful for the blessing I have of serving a mission and conscrating my life more fully to that work and mission. What a great cause. I love you all. Thanks for everything!
Love,
Sister Lofthouse
