Its been another crazy week here in Surrey! Well the craziest thing that happened this week is that one of house member's homes burnt down! Which effected that family, the 2nd counselor in the bishopric, and the senior missionary couple in the ward who lived in the basement suites in the home. It's been cool seeing all the ward members wanting to help out so much. Yesterday in ward council we sang The Spirit of God for good humor. :) Everyone effected has a really good attitude and outlook on life! The family's grandma who is living with them and is very less active requested that a fireman to go in and get some of her gold jewelry and the fireman came out with the jewelry box and the scriptures! They didn't even ask him to grab it! They were untouched by the fire and the water. But it was cool to see that the fireman saw the worth of them!
Our investigator, Deanna, is doing really well right now! She loved the Plan of Salvation when we taught it and is excited for baptism and just to put things behind her. She came to a baptism that was going on in the other ward. Her 2 year old was a little crazy so she only actually saw the ordinance but she really liked it. Then we taught her the Word of Wisdom and told her that she would have to live it that day to be baptized on her scheduled date. She drinks coffee and tea and smokes but we promised her that if she had an urge to do those things to read the Book of Mormon for 10 minutes and it would go away. Yesterday she came to church and we asked how it was going and she said she read the Book of Mormon and she didn't smoke! She is up to chapter 4 in 1st Nephi and really loves it! She also really loved church and her son sat still the whole time in sacrament meeting which was a miracle! She is doing great!
Its been a little of a slow week with us with lessons. All of our investigators have been really busy! But hopefully this week we will be able to meet with everyone. Thank you all for you love and support! Hope you have a great week!
