Its been an amazing week here in Surrey! Last Tuesday I went on exchanges and we had some crazy experiences! First off, we were just walking down the street and this man is walking towards us so we start talking to him. Yeah he was a leprechaun! He was short. He had the reddest hair ever! Red hair, red eyelashes, and yes... Red chest hair! Haha it was so funny. And it just happened to be St. Patrick's day to top it off. :) Then we decided to knock a couple doors at an apartment complex and the 1st door we knock on is was a Jehovah's Witness guy! He was really nice and he asked if we wanted to come in right then to talk. And we were like "Haha... no its okay. We actually have to have another female with us." Then he called his wife down and we went in for a lesson. I haven't been so nervous for a lesson in a long time! But the sprirt gave us what we needed to say because they asked us lots of questions but it was more like playing "Guess what the JW is thinking." Anyway, it turned out to be a neat experience!
Deanna is doing great! Last Thursday we got to teach her in a member's home and it was awesome! She opened up and told us about how the first time we taught her she was really skeptical, but she prayed and got an answer that "it will make you happy". So she started reading the Book of Mormon and coming the church and it has changed her life! She is glowing with the gospel! She absolutely loves church and she reads for the Book of Mormon and the Gospel Principles book all day and also loves the "Taft Benson" Book (is what she calls it. haha) She even had a friend over and they were playing video games and she told him that she would rather read the Book of Mormon so they took turns reading it instead! Last night we had a really good lesson with her and she said that church is her second favorite part of the week and her most favorite is when we come over and teach her! She is getting her interview today and then she is all set to get baptized on Saturday! Its so exciting!
Also another funny story form the week... Saturday we had been walking all across town and we were just about back at the car when we said hello to this guy. Well turns out I have spoken to him before and he is a little crazy. He has been to Salt Lake and all these other places in Utah and loves to tell us but he isnt aware of personal bubbles and he spits a lot when he talks so we kept backing up and backing up while he was talking to us and then we backed up into a telephone pole so there was no where else to go. But by this time his spit got all foamy... We finally got away but sister Zundel's coat was covered in foamy spit droplets! It was so funny! :)
Missionary work is awesome! Front row seats to see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives. Heavenly father put us in Deann's life right at a time when see needed it most. Heavenly Father is so aware of us and I know this is the Gospel of Happiness! I hope you are all doing well! Have a great week!
